CMR module
CMR consignment note data automation
Every road shipment comes with at least one CMR consignment note -- and someone has to move its data from a PDF or a scanned document into your TMS, accounting system or a spreadsheet. The Cargo Intelligence CMR module does that automatically, in seconds, with no manual retyping.
How it works
01
Upload the document
A PDF, a phone photo or a scanned consignment note -- via the portal or the API.
02
Fields get extracted
Sender, consignee, carrier, goods description, weight, number of packages, loading/unloading places and dates.
03
Review and use
Low-confidence cases are automatically flagged for review -- nothing is ever invented in place of an unreadable field.
Who this is for
- Freight forwarders and carriers handling dozens or hundreds of consignment notes a day and currently entering the data by hand.
- Companies that need consignment note data for accounting or a TMS but don't want to dedicate a person just to that task.
- Teams where re-typing errors (weight, dates) cause downstream problems in calculations or client disputes.
What you get
- Structured data (JSON/export) ready for further use with no extra formatting.
- A confidence score on every extraction -- you know when to double-check a result and when you can trust it.
- The full shipment history in one place if the same cargo has several related documents.
Coverage
Available to freight forwarders and carriers operating in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland -- across the main Baltic-region road freight corridor.
Frequently asked questions
How long are uploaded documents stored?
The original document is stored for 12 months from upload, then automatically deleted. Extracted data and history remain in your account for as long as the service is active.
Does it work with scanned/photographed documents, not just PDFs?
Yes. If the document has no text layer, it's processed as an image -- confidence is typically lower in that case and the document may be routed to human review.
What happens if a field is unreadable?
The field is left empty -- the system never invents values. The document is flagged for review so a person can fill in the missing information.
