Customs Duty Recovery and Waiver Detection

Every importer and customs broker files hundreds or thousands of declarations a year — and some of them genuinely lack the required preferential origin proof, or contain a duplicate MRN. A customs broker can't audit their own work — Cargo Intelligence already sits in your document stream, so it can catch what your own broker structurally can't.

A strict boundary — read before using

This tool ONLY detects possible structural discrepancies in a customs declaration. It is NOT legal or tax advice, it NEVER estimates a recoverable amount, and it NEVER files any claim with customs authorities. In Poland, an unjustified customs refund is a criminal offence (k.k.s. Art. 92), and under k.k.s. Art. 9 § 3 liability can extend to the customs agent/representative handling the case — so every detection MUST be verified by a qualified customs broker or lawyer before any action is taken.

What we actually detect

01

Missing origin proof

The declaration claims preferential origin, but there's no reference to a proof document (EUR.1/REX etc.) — in practice this is one of the most common recoverable-amount categories.

02

Duplicate MRN

The same declaration number was already uploaded before — a possible duplicate or discrepancy worth checking.

Frequently asked questions

Can I file a customs claim myself based on a detection?

The system NEVER says a claim is worth filing — it only flags something as worth checking. The decision, and the claim itself, is always made by you or your customs broker/lawyer.

Why don't you give a specific recoverable amount?

An exact figure would depend on the tariff difference, which would need to be calculated against the full, constantly updated EU Common Customs Tariff. A wrong number here would be more dangerous than none at all — especially in Poland.

How does activation work?

Contact us — this module is currently activated manually, not through the self-service order form, because we want to walk every client through the boundaries before they start.
